Okay, gang. Things SHOOK down Monday and Tuesday night for the finale of the Bachelor. This is a long one… but so worth it!
This season has been full of drama and the anticipation has remained HIGH for loyal fans.
Monday night consisted of the two remaining girls Hannah-Ann and Madison meeting Peters family in Australia.

Okay, the episode starts with Peter and his family gathering to chat about the two remaining girls. He reminds his family that Madison is the girl they met at the vow renewal. (Uh hum, do we all remember how much they ADORED her then?? Just me? No? I digress.) He moves on to tell them about Hannah Ann and explains how Hannah-Ann was the first impression rose and how she has expressed how much she loves Peter. While Madison has not.
*insert major stink eye from Barb because she’s concerned for her baby.*
He continues to discuss with his parents and brother about the struggles him and Madi have faced. This is where things start to slightly go down hill.
Brother expresses that if the two can work through it then the family will be able to look past it.
*insert my major eye-roll here* Because, bro. Who cares if you look past it or not…. not yo gurl, not yo problem.
THEN in comes the dates.
First up Hannah- Ann

Okay, I was SO not a fan of Hannah-Ann. AT ALL. Until Tuesday. AND THEN GAME CHANGER SIS. But before we get to that I would like to recap the meeting of Hannah Ann and Peters family.
Poor Hannah-Ann, she was just absolutely a basket case of emotions. Honestly, do I even blame her? I mean like Peter said it’s been a “wild, wild, journey”. UHHHH, ya think bud? Balancing 4756 relationships at the same time I’m sure is slightly stressful. *insert anxiety head scratch here*
Anyway, back to Hannah-Ann.
The family instantly fell in love with her as she tears up while walking through the door.
Hannah-Ann’s only goal for the day…. making sure Barb knows that she loves her son… Well done sis, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. You got (not very faithful but spiritual) Barb praying that you stand dead in the way of Peter and any other chick. YOU GO GIRL.
Barbra also mentions that she can see her and Papa Peter in Hannah Ann and baby Peter… 30 years ago, of course.
Ol’ Barb, Papa Peter, brother, all God’s children related to the Webers and Hannah-Ann sing Kum-Ba-Yah and the date is over.
Next up, my girl, Madison.

Y’all, isn’t she beautiful. Like I want to be her. I have joked and said I’m dressing as Madi for Halloween this year…AND you know what, this chick is a TWO on the Enneagram. Do you know who else is a TWO!?!? Me.
Like those are both signs that
a) Me and Madi could be besties
AND
b) Im definitely being Madison for Halloween…. get me a basketball.. I need to start practicing my skills.
Okay, so the date starts off to a rough. Madi and Peter talk for a couple hours before they even enter the house to meet Peter’s family. Now, we don’t know it’s hours because… editing. BUT don’t you worry… Ol’ Barb makes sure to inform us that it was 3 whole hours to be exact.

No stress Barb, I get real cranky and cry too when I need a nap. It’s a girl thing… don’t worry about it.
The family meets Madison eventually and it did not go well. They see “red flags” all around Madisons head like flying stars and they are just SO worried that she might change Peter…… (like for the better? is that what they are worried about? hmm…) Anyways, the date ends and Madison leaves and it leaves Madison and Peter’s future really up in the air.
OKAY. HERE IT IS. What we have waited for all daggum season, ladies and gents. BARB BEGS PETER TO “BRING HER HOME”…. Madison right?!?!? Don’t we love her??

NO!?!?!?! Hannah-Ann?? What? Did NOT see that one coming friends.
Barb begs Peter to let Madi go and pick Hannah Ann. She even said she prayed that God would put the perfect girl in his path. (all that from a non-faithful human…. just spiritual… Okay Barb.)
Monday nights episode ends with Madison telling Peter after their date that she believe they are just in two different places…. Peter is absolutely heart broken

and so is Madison from the looks of it.

He does have a date with Hannah Ann… where he so happens to leave out that Madison has left… They play with kangaroos and Peter magically falls in love and is ready to purpose.
Maybe a kangaroo accidentally knocks him in the head on the back hop?? Not sure, friends.
Tuesday Night starts with a proposal…. to Hannah Ann… the second choice… which Peter expresses to Hannah Ann. uhhhhh AWKWARD.

After the proposal, the couple enters the real world and well friends, reality hits the both of them. They go a whole month without speaking to each other. THEN…Peter drops the ball.
He breaks things off with Hannah Ann because he still has feelings for Madison.
Hannah Ann is heart broken at first. BUT don’t you worry, our girl gathers her strength and absolutely destroys Pilot Pete.

She gives back her and ring and blames Peter for taking away her first proposal from her.

Peter, clearly she doesn’t have time for you right now.
AFTER THE FINAL ROSE….
This is where it gets Real juicy, gang. Barb turns psychotic, Hannah Ann turns into women empowerment, and Madison stands her ground with so much grace. Papa Peter and baby Peter on the other hand sit there like knots on a log…

They bring Hannah Ann out for the After The Final Rose interview. She was to the point, she wasn’t rude, nor hateful but she made it very clear that she was not going to put up with Peter’s games. She looked amazing in her red dress and I think she represented ALL women extremely well and I felt so proud of her for standing up to Peter.
Now, do I know that Hannah Ann said yes to Peter after he basically told her she was second choice? Yes, I am aware. However, like Hannah Ann told Peter he had made a choice to continue to pursue his relationship with Hannah Ann when he could have communicated how he was actually feeling. He led Hannah Ann to believe that he still wanted to marry her. I cannot imagine the pain she felt during that whole experience.
You go, Hannah Ann. Every woman was a cheerleader of you Tuesday night.

Now, on to talk about the BIG ELEPHANT in the room.
Barb VS Madison
Madison was treated EXTREMELY unfairly Tuesday night.
Barb was hateful and nasty towards Madi. Getting caught multiple times rolling her eyes and whispering rude comments about Madison while watching Chris Harrison visit Madison when she found out Peter was single and she wanted another chance.

STANK EYE BARB.
Peter’s made mean comments about how Peter would simply have to succeed by failing. Also stating that him and Madison would never work.
However, Madison handled herself AMAZINGLY well with so much poise and grace. I am not sure I would have been able to sit on that couch while someone spoke to me that way. I get my feelings hurt way too easily and I would have had to walk away before I floated away from the tears.

I am so proud of Madison for standing up for her beliefs and I am not just saying this because I am strong in faith. If a person who is able to set boundaries for themselves (whether based on faith or just for the sake of themselves )and then stick to their guns without any give, that’s admirable. Madison set boundaries in hers and Peters relationship and it simply is not up to Barbra to decide if the boundaries are too strict. Peter is a grown man that is fully capable of making his own decisions.
After it was all over I was full of pride. I did not care who he chose or ended up with at the end of the night. I was so proud that two women sat on stage and did what women for too many years have been scared to do. They stood up for themselves. They backed up their decisions. They showed women across the country that you can set boundaries and the right partner will love you anyways. They also taught women that they don’t have to sit there and take the lies and excuses from someone. That they are more than a rag doll being drug around while someone tries to decide who is the better choice. Because truth is, they both are. They are both amazing women who happen to bring different things to the table. They are different in many ways but one thing that is clearly seen in both is that they believe in the power of women. They handled the entire season incredible well.
WHEW. That was A LOT! Thank you so much for reading! I would love to hear all your thoughts on the episode. The blog. Everything.
